Welcome Back - Let's have some alcohol with Brenda!

 Get hooked on alcohol - ink that is! - using Yupo paper and Ranger inks.....






Come and play with swipe, agate and print pull techniques to create stunning backgrounds from sunsets, stained glass and fantasy.  In class we will create colorful and whimsical compositions to turn into backgrounds for 3 unique cards.  Each technique taught will give three pieces.  You will choose one to use in class for your card and then take the other two home to add to your background stash.


Ranger's alcohol ink and Gina K dye inks used in this class listed below.  If you prefer to use your own ink, please look at the pictures and bring inks close in color. 


Alcohol Inks:  Valencia, Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Dandelion, Limeade, Ginger, Purple Twilight, Raspberry, Amethyst, Pistachio, Turquoise, Blending Solution and Ink Lift Solution.


Gina K Inks:  Lucky Clover, Wild Lilac, Blue Raspberry, Lemon Drop, Blue Denim and In the Navy.

Supplies to bring to class:

Blending handles and felts - rectangle, blending handles and foam - round, blending brushes could replace blending handles/felts/foam above,  double-sided tape/strong glue, bone folder, tweezers, scissors, non-stick craft mat, 4" brayer, paper trimmer, wet wipes or craft cloth, assorted stamping blocks, gloves, hand pump or cool set air gun.

Tools available for sharing:

Die cut machine, paper trimmer, score tool, stamp positioning tool and heat gun.

Whimsical Christmas Cards, with Maresa







Did you miss the Tim Holtz inspired Christmas card workshop? In this class we are taking it down a notch. Although we will be using the Distress Crackle Paints, Alcohol Inks, Distress Inks, Fancy Pants Christmas Magic, etc, to create wonderful cards, this class won't overload your holiday stressed brain with too many complicated techniques. Never fear, you will learn a myriad of tips and tricks, including how to make your own snow, and how to make a window in your Cuttlebug folders.

Stationery Suitcase, with Maresa





Most people are so enamored with the clever design of the packaging, that they don't realize that this lovely suitcase houses a treasure trove of goodies. The workshop not only includes the suitcase, but cards, envelopes and altered paper clips. Since I'm sure you won't be able to stop at just one, I will provide you with a photo tutorial of the project, as well as templates for those hard-to-find 3"x3" envelopes.
Though we use the MME Andrea Victoria papers, this project will lend itself beautifully to any theme/colour scheme that you choose. Let your imagination go wild!

Caught In Crystal: Winter Birds, with Maresa







Attention technique junkies. Here is another workshop that will "feed your need." Using alcohol inks, pigment powders, and other goodies we will be creating images that look more like art, rather than crafts. Paired with BoBunny 'Tis the Season papers, Nestabilities and a few of the new May Arts ribbons, these cards are worth a second look...or three.

Holiday Tiles, with Maresa




Let's face it, despite our best intentions of planning ahead, many of us will run out of time and the holidays will be here before we know it. This project is the perfect answer to those last minute gift dilemmas. This is a quick, cost effective present that is both pretty and functional. We will be creating four stamped tiles that can be used to display or, if you can bring yourself to cover them up, can be used as coasters.

Christmas Explosion Box Album, with Ellen




Join Ellen to make this delightful little explosion album. It's sure to become a family treasure when filled with your precious photos.

You'll spend the first hour measuring, cutting and applying adhesive to create the box, then the rest of the time will be spend embellishing it. You can follow Ellen's example or add your own unique touches.
