An art journal, or artist's journal, is a book kept by an artist as a visual, and sometimes verbal, record of her thoughts and ideas. Art journals generally combine visual journaling and writing, to create finished pages. Every imaginable style, media and technique is used by art journalists.
Simply put, Art Journaling is a visual diary--it's record keeping combined with creativity! It's a place to record your thoughts, memories, and emotions through images, art and words. ... Art Journal=A personal journal (or book) filled with any combination of art, imagery and words.
However you describe it, we will be exploring the many different kinds of paints, pastes, rice paper, distress crayons, crackle pastes; you name it we will be using it!
This series is meant for the beginner to intermediate skill level. We are learning along the way too, so please come and learn with us!
We will have at least 2 different instructors throughout this monthly class so you will learn many different tips and techniques!
In our January class, we will be doing 1 page of your journal using Dylusions paints, texture paste, tissue paper, stamping, Posca pens and distress markers. We will be creating a snowman out of tissue paper that we stamp on along with an amazing sky background with many colours swirling throughout!

Time: 1 to 3 pm (maybe allow a bit more time while we figure out how long these classes will take!)

Nonstick craft mat. ***(We do require you always use this for any class to protect our tables).
Adhesives (dry, liquid, glue dots).
Dimensional adhesive (foam squares lots or foam tape).
Scotch tape.
Scissors.
Tweezers.
Baby wipes, lots!.
Paper towels.
Gloves if you don't want messy hands!
