Holiday Home Decor with Brenda

 


Holiday Home Décor Class – Nov 27 & 28 – Double Class $65.00

Saturday – Nov 27 – 9AM – 3PM

Sunday – Nov 28 – 12PM – 3PM

Project #1 – Clear Resin Pour using moulds to create tree ornaments and/or tag & gift box toppers.  Items created will be snowflakes and baubles.

Project #2 – Poinsettia arrangement for table centerpiece or mantel display this piece also makes a great gift.

Saturday, we start with the resin pour, this pour takes 24 hours to cure.  Once pour is completed we will move to the shaping & building of the flowers & greenery and if time permits begin to build the centerpiece.

Sunday, we pop our ornaments from the moulds, clean & polish them up and then move back to the centerpiece arrangement and finish this décor piece up.





Project #1 – Student Supplies to bring – SAFETY FIRST

Face mask & Gloves – these will be worn the whole time we are working with the resin – no exceptions

Baby wipes are the best to use

Paper Towels

Recommend wearing an apron and having your hair tied back – I wear a hairband when I’m pouring.

Instructor will supply the following for the resin pour.

Resin – Moulds - Mixing cups & stir sticks - Alcohol Ink (several colours will be available) – Glitter (several colours will be available) - Metallic String to hang your ornaments.

Your basic crafting tool bag, which should include your scissors, tweezers craft mat

Glue that dries clear & hard

Glue gun & glue sticks

Tray or dish to sort your greenery & flower petals

Flower shaping kit

Embossing gun

VersaMark clear embossing ink

Medium tone green ink & blending brush/foam.

 

Instructor will supply the following for the centerpiece

Vase - Sand – to fill & weight the vase - Foam ball for the top to shape arrangement

Pre-cut greenery & floral petals - Pins

Small artificial berries (filler element)

Come and join us for our regular monthly All Occasion Card Cache class on Sunday Nov 21st,

2 time slots available 10-12 & 1-3 PM.

4 Card kits with envelops will be provided so you just need to build and go.

Card styles that you will create in the class will be:

Pop Up & Out Box Card – 5 x 7 – 6 x 6 & Slimline






 

Card 1 - 3D Pop Up & Out box card – this card fits into a standard A2 size envelope. 

Great card for making an impression and can be recreated for any theme. 

Makes good use of smaller die cuts & ephemera.

 

Card 2 – 5x7 Santa’s Sleigh

Good card for mass production, easy to put together and makes a nice statement on the mantel.

 

Card 3 – 6x6 All Boxed Up – presents are always a hit. 

Excellent card for using up your small scraps of paper.

Another style of card that can be used for any theme and colour choices.

 

Card 4 – Slimline Under the Tree

This is a quick seasonal card to put together.

Classic colour combination is used here, but any other seasonal colour combination would work great.

 

 

Crafters Supplies needed for class:

Standard crafting kit which should included:

Craft Mat, Bone Folder, Scissors, Tweezers, Ruler, Double Sided Tape, Glue that dries clear once set, Scotch Tape, Pencil & Eraser, Pop Dots

 

Additional Supplies that are used in this class that will be helpful for you.

Pop Dots – Regular size & Thin size – both Large dots & regular size dots.

Corner Rounder – I have one that can be shared if you do not have one.

4 Blending Foams or Brushes

4 Inks in the following colours – Red, Green, Light Blue, Light Grey – I used Gina K inks in Red Hot, Lucky Clover, Powder Blue & Soft Stone.

Fun-Fold Cards with Brenda


 

Come join us for class and try your hand creating technique-based cards.  We will be crafting 3 different styles of cards along with envelopes to fit each one.


Card 1 is a Domed Card – the card in class will be the basic structure and choice of 2 different designs.  We will also build a box envelope using 1-piece 12x12 paper so giving the card away is easy.


Card 2 is Book Fold Card – this is a great inspirational card to give anyone and can be recreated for any occasion.


Card 3 is Center Easel Card – this card is show piece that your recipient will be proud to display.  This card can be recreated easily.


Please note the cards on Display do not have sentiments, an assortment of sentiments will be available for you to use in class.

All Occasion Card Class #2 - With Brenda

 


Join us for our 2nd monthly All Occasion Card Class.  This month we will create 4 cards, a standard A2, 5x7, 6x6 & slimline card.  Envelopes will be provided for all cards.  Card themes are Good Luck, All Occasion (choice of sentiment will be available), Humorous Winter and Classic Christmas.  Most pieces of each card will be precut and ready for you to assemble. 








The slimline card will come with an option for you to colour in 2 sweaters if you wish, please bring your own markers or pencil crayons to class if selecting this option.


The 6x6 all occasion card you will have a choice of colour using the Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Flakes.


If you wish to ink your card edges, please bring your ink pads & blending foam/brush to class.

  • A2 Card colours are White/Grey & Black
  • Slimline Card the background piece is in pale blue – sweaters will all be assorted colours
  • 5x7 Card colours are Navy Blue/White & Holographic paper
  • 6x6 Card colours are Dark Royal Blue

Come for a play day using Gel Plates, this is fun class where you can let your creativity flow.

First Saturday we will be creating a variety of backdrops on then on the following Sunday you will bring your backdrops back to class and we will turn them into cards of assorted sizes.

Gel Plate sizes being used in class will 5x7 rectangle, 6x6 square, 6” round, 5 ½” x 11” rectangle & slimline rectangle, envelopes will be provided for the cards that we make on the Sunday.

Assorted techniques will be put into practice.  A broad range of products will be used during class #1.

We are aiming to create 4 different styles of backdrops.

Mini Album and Display Box with Bonnie

 


This mini album and gorgeous display box is a class you won’t want to miss!


The beautiful blues and pinks of the Prima Watercolor Floral line compliment the box and the mini so well.


In this class, you will learn how to construct the display box as well as the mini album. 

You will then decorate both pieces with the pretty Prima papers. 

There should be ample class time to complete these items.

Come join us for Flower Themed Cards.  There are 9 card samples on display at the store.

From the nine cards on display you will pick 3 of them to create.  Each card uses different techniques, direct to paper stamping, layering stamping, masks & stencils and die cutting.  All cards are created using Distress Inks.

Please note the display cards do not have sentiments attached to them, assorted sentiment strips will be provided for you to choose from.

Card sizes that will be made are 5x7, 6x6 & slimline, envelopes will be provided.

Die Cutter, Paper Trimmer & Score Board will be available in class.

Come join Bonnie to make this beautiful card box to store all your cards in one place.  This box will hold A2, 5x7, 6x6 and Slimline cards. There are four dividers that you can personalize to suit your needs.


In this class, you will learn a method of box construction that can be adapted to any style or size of box. 

Supplies to bring to class:
- your basic tool kit that you craft with
- non stick craft mat to protect our tables
- 2 sided tape like sook wang (3mm or 5mm) will do
- a wet glue such as Art Glitter Glue OR Tombow
- bone folder 
- scissors, pencil, eraser, scotch tape, black sharpie marker (fine or medium tip)
- ink blending tool with foam for inking edges

Blossoms & Butterflies

Classes are back!  Come join us for a relaxing time and create 2 projects :  One Wall Art Piece and one Slim Line Get Well Card and  envelope.


Wall art tag measures 8” x 4”.   Class sample piece is done in pink & pale grey.  You choose your colour options to match your décor or if using as gift to match your recipients tastes.  Techniques used in the class are Stenciling & Flower shaping.  All flower pieces will be precut and ready for shading using the colour of your choice.  Assorted stencils will be provided for you to use.  If you already have a favorite, please bring it with you.

 

Slim Line card 3.5” x 8”.  This card uses a quick alcohol ink technique, along with setting die cut pieces.

Cards will be cut & scored; the top layer & die cuts will also be precut.  Alcohol ink will be provided, and you will be creating your own design to be featured in the card.
