All Boxed Up Card Class With Brenda

 


All Boxed Up - Note cards with envelopes in a presentation box.

Offered twice - Saturday Aug 6 2022 and Wednesday, August 17th

Cost 25.00 plus taxes

Create six, A6 sized cards with a variety of greetings.  This set makes a wonderful Hostess gift or a ready made present to have in your stash for those quick last minute gifts.

All cards are designed using alcohol ink techniques, fantasy flower blowing, hot foiling and stamping with Archival/Stazon Ink.

Note ***There are cards on display at the store are for your Inspiration, each card you create will be a one of kind & unique.

You will have a choice of hot foiling or stamping your sentiment


Crafter Attendees need to please bring the following supplies:

Basic Tool Kit which should include Scissors, Tweezers, Ruler, Double Side Tape an/or Clear Glue, Bone Folder, Pencil & Eraser, Pick Tool, Craft Mat, Paper Towels, Wet Wipes

Come join us and make four cards - two will be Holiday Christmas cards and the other two are Classic All Purpose cards.

You will have a choice of sentiments on one of the Holiday cards and one of the Classic cards.

       

Card #1 – Joy 5.5 x 5.5

Techniques: Flower shaping and layering, all items will be precut assembly required

Card #2- Snowflake Holiday Slimline

Techniques: Controlled ink smooshing and layering, you will be creating your own background, all panels will be precut assembly required

Card #3 – You are the best 5x7

Techniques: Double waxing on a dry embossed background, Vellum ink blending, you will create the background, all panels will be precut assembly required

Card #4 – Peace Words 5x7

Techniques: Layering, all panels & embellishments will be precut, choice of 5 different precut sentiments, assembly required

We will be creating two triple folding diamond cards, first card will be using the instructor supplied precut paper and the second of the same design will be constructed using paper from the store, you choose your paper.

The following techniques will be used in the creation of the card, measuring & cutting of the paper on diagonal, dry embossing, heat embossing on velum, toner sheet foiling.

Instructor Supplied Items – Card #1 – paper will be precut and ready for assembly

1 - 12x12 White Card Stock for the base

3 – 4 ¼ x 4 ¼ Cardstock Mats

3 – 3 ¾ x 3 ¾ Patterned Paper Layers

6 – 2 ¾ x 5 ¾ Cardstock Mats

6 – 2 ½ x 5 ½ Patterned Paper Layers

4 – Vellum Embellishments

1 – Happy Birthday Die Cut Sentiment

 

Instructor Supplied Items – Card #2 – solid cardstock & patterned paper will be chosen onsite & you will do your own cutting

For the Love of Blooms - Spring Arrangement

This is the third class in a series of technical based flower creations.  Each crafter will make five crepe paper spring blooms on short stems and arrange them in a squat marbled vase.  All flowers will be assorted colors and not necessarily as shown in photo.

Additional Supplies that you need to bring to class:

Hot Glue Gun (low temperature setting will be the best for you)

Silicone Mat

Finger protectors if you do not have a low temperature glue gun.

 

***Please NOTE – this is a busy class, with many steps to build a flower, you may not complete the arrangement in class, depending on how quick you work.  You’re welcome to stay past 2:00 if need be.  As well you will have enough knowledge to complete the project at home.


Holiday Home Decor with Brenda

 


Holiday Home Décor Class – Nov 27 & 28 – Double Class $65.00

Saturday – Nov 27 – 9AM – 3PM

Sunday – Nov 28 – 12PM – 3PM

Project #1 – Clear Resin Pour using moulds to create tree ornaments and/or tag & gift box toppers.  Items created will be snowflakes and baubles.

Project #2 – Poinsettia arrangement for table centerpiece or mantel display this piece also makes a great gift.

Saturday, we start with the resin pour, this pour takes 24 hours to cure.  Once pour is completed we will move to the shaping & building of the flowers & greenery and if time permits begin to build the centerpiece.

Sunday, we pop our ornaments from the moulds, clean & polish them up and then move back to the centerpiece arrangement and finish this décor piece up.





Project #1 – Student Supplies to bring – SAFETY FIRST

Face mask & Gloves – these will be worn the whole time we are working with the resin – no exceptions

Baby wipes are the best to use

Paper Towels

Recommend wearing an apron and having your hair tied back – I wear a hairband when I’m pouring.

Instructor will supply the following for the resin pour.

Resin – Moulds - Mixing cups & stir sticks - Alcohol Ink (several colours will be available) – Glitter (several colours will be available) - Metallic String to hang your ornaments.

Come and join us for our regular monthly All Occasion Card Cache class on Sunday Nov 21st,

2 time slots available 10-12 & 1-3 PM.

4 Card kits with envelops will be provided so you just need to build and go.

Pop Up & Out Box Card – 5 x 7 – 6 x 6 & Slimline






 

Card 1 - 3D Pop Up & Out box card – this card fits into a standard A2 size envelope. 

Great card for making an impression and can be recreated for any theme. 

Makes good use of smaller die cuts & ephemera.

 

Card 2 – 5x7 Santa’s Sleigh

Good card for mass production, easy to put together and makes a nice statement on the mantel.

 

Card 3 – 6x6 All Boxed Up – presents are always a hit. 

Excellent card for using up your small scraps of paper.

Another style of card that can be used for any theme and colour choices.

 

Card 4 – Slimline Under the Tree

This is a quick seasonal card to put together.

Classic colour combination is used here, but any other seasonal colour combination would work great.

Corner Rounder – I have one that can be shared if you do not have one.

4 Blending Foams or Brushes

4 Inks in the following colours – Red, Green, Light Blue, Light Grey – I used Gina K inks in Red Hot, Lucky Clover, Powder Blue & Soft Stone.

Fun-Fold Cards with Brenda


 

Come join us for class and try your hand creating technique-based cards.  We will be crafting 3 different styles of cards along with envelopes to fit each one.


Card 1 is a Domed Card – the card in class will be the basic structure and choice of 2 different designs.  We will also build a box envelope using 1-piece 12x12 paper so giving the card away is easy.


Card 2 is Book Fold Card – this is a great inspirational card to give anyone and can be recreated for any occasion.


Card 3 is Center Easel Card – this card is show piece that your recipient will be proud to display.  This card can be recreated easily.


Please note the cards on Display do not have sentiments, an assortment of sentiments will be available for you to use in class.

All Occasion Card Class #2 - With Brenda

 


Join us for our 2nd monthly All Occasion Card Class.  This month we will create 4 cards, a standard A2, 5x7, 6x6 & slimline card.  Envelopes will be provided for all cards.  Card themes are Good Luck, All Occasion (choice of sentiment will be available), Humorous Winter and Classic Christmas.  Most pieces of each card will be precut and ready for you to assemble. 








The slimline card will come with an option for you to colour in 2 sweaters if you wish, please bring your own markers or pencil crayons to class if selecting this option.


The 6x6 all occasion card you will have a choice of colour using the Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Flakes.


If you wish to ink your card edges, please bring your ink pads & blending foam/brush to class.

  • A2 Card colours are White/Grey & Black
  • Slimline Card the background piece is in pale blue – sweaters will all be assorted colours
  • 5x7 Card colours are Navy Blue/White & Holographic paper
  • 6x6 Card colours are Dark Royal Blue
