Club Kid's ABC Album Workshop, with Hazel





This is such a fun project for you and/or your children. The real challenge is finding just the right photo to go with each letter of the alphabet. We use an 8" x 8" expandable album and you will learn and practice some good basic scrapbooking techniques.
See the sample album on display in the store and when you register collect a list of ideas for your photo choices.
Note: Please bring scrapbooking tools if you have any. Adults accepted as well.

Card Challenge of the Month: Stamping on Acetate, Sewing on Paper, Faux Chalkboard, with Charmagne




For all those scrapbooker's out there who are currently NOT cardmakers...look at what you can do with your scraps!!! July Layout Challenge: Working with Acetate and Sewing on Paper, with Charmagne



I had so much fun with this layout this month! This project is overflowing with fun techniques... Learn to manipulate acetate with heat, stamp on acetate, sew on paper, create a faux chalkboard look and much, much more! We are using Kaisercraft's new line of paper, Chapter One. These beautiful blues and greens will highlight any summer water photos you capture or enhance your black and white photos. See you at class!

SNEAK PEEK ! Out of Print, with Maresa




There are so many beautiful new paper lines at the store! When I saw the new Out of Print line from Basic Grey, I knew I had to use it. *swoon*

This class features three cards, and are non-specific so will lend themselves well to most any occasion.

We will be using a myriad of punches, Nesties, ribbons, lace, and a ton of layering to create a look that is shabby chic, but in an elegant, gentle way.

The store has so many new lines of Graphic 45 paper in, and I have to say, Communique is one of my favorites! Paired with awesome Hero Arts stamps, these cards have a vintage feel with a few punches of bright colour.

We will be making a trio of all purpose cards that incorporate tons of stamping, inking, die cuts, ribbons and a few other fun surprises.

ABC's of Copic Markers, with Maresa




Copic markers are all the craze, and here's your chance to learn all about them. This is a workshop-style class where you will learn the basic colour techniques of Copics, as well as paper and ink selection, colouring techniques, blending techniques and refilling your pens. You will also be exploring advanced techniques that you can use with these pens, like how to colour direct ink onto rubber, airbrushing, blender solution techniques, mixed media, and more!

Tons of handouts will be emailed to class registrants. [And this is a good thing! You will be learning so much in this class that information will be leaking out of your head by class end. ;)]

Maresa is a certified Copic Marker designer.

Summer holidays have arrived! Before your children get a chance to be bored, sign them up for a fun, crafty week with Hazel. They will learn some basic scrapbooking techniques and leave with a terrific, personalized calender for 2012. It will enhance their room or make a unique gift for someone special. Bring one or two photos for each month seasonally or match the monthly holiday. (See the sample calendar at the store for ideas.)

Break out your white acrylic paint and stamps cuz this class is all about recreating your artistic slate! Change plain cardstock to beautiful patterned paper just screaming to be textured and whitewashed. Big Shot Projects with Annette




In this class you will use the Big Shot for all 3 projects - a glitter card, a stenciled card and a gift card holder. The Glitter Butterfly will show you how to use any image cut from your Big Shot with glitter with the next step from Peel-offs. This technique will give you another great use for your dies. Both of the other projects use dies from the Mariaane design Creatables line. The bird card will focus on embossing and stenciling, while the gift card holder will feature the tip for how to use intricate dies and successfully remove the image and all pieces from the die itself.

Supplies to bring: basic kit, craft mat, fine tip tweezers, sharp craft knife, glitter magnet cloth, applicator felts and handle, sponges for inking, corner rounder punch. Distress Inks: Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Broken China.

Vintage SteamPunk Canvas with Heather



You will get down right inky and grungy with this project! We will use Alcohol Inks, Metal Tape, Tim Holtz Dies, Embossing Powders, Distress Inks, Tons of Vintage Findings and more on a 7x14 canvas. ALL supplies included.

Students please bring a basic tool kit of scissors, adhesives, paper trimmer.
Distress Inks or other favorites if you have...I only have a limited selection. By all means bring your favorite colours!
If you have a craft mat, heat gun, blending tools or sponges, favorite vintage stamps you would like to incorporate, please bring them. Also, if you have any vintage trinkets or ephemera you wish to use on the canvas, bring it along! I encourage you to make it your OWN!
There is a ton of inking so if you have a buddy to share inks with all the better. You might also want to wear rubber gloves?
