September Card Challenge: Ribbon Roses, Tim's Core'dinations paper & Clear Button Revamp!




Graphic 45...oh how we love you! Come and play with the fabulous ABC Primer paper line to create this fun, whimsical card trio. We will be exploring the Tim Holtz Core'dinations paper possibilities, rolling our own ribbon flowers and creating clear buttons to match our project perfectly! Before you know it Christmas will be here, why not get a head start on your gift list? Everybody can use a helping hand to remember birthdays and anniversaries, and this little date reminder book is a great present for that hard to buy for person. [Mother-in-law, anyone? ;)]

Authentique has done a beautiful job with their new paper lines, and Unique certainly is lovely. This little book boasts a binding that remains, well...unique, to all the album techniques that I've taught to date. Pair the lovely prints with inking, punching, ribbons, flowers etc., and the finished result is an eye-pleaser.

This book is perpetual as, in addition to a full tutorial, I will provide a .pdf file of all the month pages.

Drawer Full of Cards, with Annette





This month's class with be project-based and the finished creation will be perfect as a gift for someone special. First we will be constructing a drawer and then 4 cards using the same elements so that we have a matching set. As you see, we will be using the papers from the beautiful BoBunny line, Forever Fall.

Out of Print Mini Album, with Maresa

Continuing my love affair with Basic Grey Out of Print paper... this little album is a marvel. It features all sorts of pockets, tags and flip pages that will fit 4"x6" photos, and the binding is constructed in such a way that your book won't "sit funny" when you fill it up. You won't believe how much you can put into it!

You will learn clever, but insanely simple, techniques that will allow you to modify, expand, and add to the basic design. Before you know it, you will be designing your own albums. There are no rules with this album, and each person will end up with an album that is unique to its creator. As usual, there will be a complete tutorial, chock full of photos, for you to have for future use.

August Layout Challenge: Inchies, with Charmagne



I've done so many cards using inchies...small creations made within a one inch square. In this class we will play with Authentique's beautiful new Journey and Uncommon line to create a double layout using a much bigger "inchie" concept. Choose between a pink (Uncommon line) or blue (Journey line) to create this pretty project. This layout can be adapted for both masculine or feminine photos. See you there!

Out of Print Cards, with Maresa




There are so many beautiful new paper lines at the store! When I saw the new Out of Print line from Basic Grey, I knew I had to use it. *swoon*

This class features three cards, and are non-specific so will lend themselves well to most any occasion.

We will be using a myriad of punches, Nesties, ribbons, lace, and a ton of layering to create a look that is shabby chic, but in an elegant, gentle way.

The store has so many new lines of Graphic 45 paper in, and I have to say, Communique is one of my favorites! Paired with awesome Hero Arts stamps, these cards have a vintage feel with a few punches of bright colour.

We will be making a trio of all purpose cards that incorporate tons of stamping, inking, die cuts, ribbons and a few other fun surprises.

Summer holidays have arrived! Before your children get a chance to be bored, sign them up for a fun, crafty week with Hazel. They will learn some basic scrapbooking techniques and leave with a terrific, personalized calender for 2012. It will enhance their room or make a unique gift for someone special. Club Kid's ABC Album Workshop, with Hazel





This is such a fun project for you and/or your children. The real challenge is finding just the right photo to go with each letter of the alphabet. We use an 8" x 8" expandable album and you will learn and practice some good basic scrapbooking techniques.
See the sample album on display in the store and when you register collect a list of ideas for your photo choices.
Note: Please bring scrapbooking tools if you have any. Adults accepted as well.

July Layout Challenge: Working with Acetate and Sewing on Paper, with Charmagne



I had so much fun with this layout this month! This project is overflowing with fun techniques... Learn to manipulate acetate with heat, stamp on acetate, sew on paper, create a faux chalkboard look and much, much more! We are using Kaisercraft's new line of paper, Chapter One. These beautiful blues and greens will highlight any summer water photos you capture or enhance your black and white photos. See you at class!

ABC's of Copic Markers, with Maresa




Copic markers are all the craze, and here's your chance to learn all about them. This is a workshop-style class where you will learn the basic colour techniques of Copics, as well as paper and ink selection, colouring techniques, blending techniques and refilling your pens. You will also be exploring advanced techniques that you can use with these pens, like how to colour direct ink onto rubber, airbrushing, blender solution techniques, mixed media, and more!

Tons of handouts will be emailed to class registrants. [And this is a good thing! You will be learning so much in this class that information will be leaking out of your head by class end. ;)]

Maresa is a certified Copic Marker designer.
