October Stack a Stash, with Maresa

On the last Sunday of the month, we teach a card class called Stack A Stash, and it is hosted by a different instructor each month. It is such a great way to start your stash of cards, ready to have on hand when an occasion arises.

In the Stack A Stash classes, you make two all occasion cards and two Christmas cards.

This month you will be creating two Christmas cards, and two cards that can be adapted for pretty much any occasion. [There will be a variety of sentiment stamps available for your choice.]

- pop dots [both 1/16" and ⅛" thick recommended]

It's a Lawn Fawn Christmas! with Charmagne

Who doesn't love Lawn Fawn's Christmas release? Come and create four gorgeous cards full of sparkle, pops of colour and adorable animals. Learn the basics of watercolouring with various mediums including Clean Colour pens, Tombow markers and watercolour pencils. Learn the mechanics behind shaker cards and peek a boo slider cards. This is one time only class so register today!

ABC's of Scrapbooking, with Hazel

Do you want to get your precious photos out of the shoe box or off your computer? For those of you who want to get started, this class covers some of the basic techniques required. During this class you'll create a 2 page spread while learning how to crop and mat your photos. Please bring 8 to 10 photos of one event or subject to class.

Fun-Fold Poinsettias Christmas Cards, with Annette

It's a Scribbly Christmas, with Denica

Let's get a jump start on your Christmas cards this year!

Join me and come and play with one of Tim Holtzs' new Christmas stamp sets, "Scribbly Christmas" and the new Christmas paper line from Echo Park "The Story of Christmas".

I wasn't sure about this set at first, but bought it because of the wonderful sentiments (they come in 2 fonts on the same set!), but fell in love with water colouring the trees! We will be making 6 cards and you won't believe how fast they come together!

Minion Slipper Class, with Denica

This class is a bit of a deviation from our regular classes but we all need a change once in a while, right?!

This is an intermediate crochet class, easy, but all you need to know is a few basic stitches. Chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc) and a double crochet (dc). There are some great tutorials on the internet if you need to brush up on your skills beforehand. You need to have a basic knowledge of Crochet before class as we will need all of our time to try to complete this project.

What you need to bring:

scissors
5 mm crochet hook (this can be ordered through the store ahead of time)
3.75 mm crochet hook ( this can be ordered through the store ahead of time)
2 stitch markers (if you have them, you can also use safety pins or yarn)
a row counter or a pen or pencil and note pad (to keep track of your rows)
a yarn needle

All the yarn and the pattern will be supplied

This pattern makes an adult sized pair of slippers, but can easily be changed to make smaller sized slippers for all those little ones on your Christmas list that are Minion crazy!

Feel free to bring a lunch or snack

This album in a box was a sold out class so I am offering it once again using the beautiful Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper collection.

The pages have fold out flaps, tags, and pockets with pull outs; tons of room for plenty of photos and journalling.

I have mad-love for Graphic 45's new paper collection Rare Oddities; however, I'm not much for Halloween. Happily the beautiful, vibrant colours worked perfectly with these adorable new fairy dies that we just got in, and paired with some bling they look amazing.

All the cards can be customized with the stamps of your choice, affording flexibility when you are giving them out.

This Summer BoBunny has come out with the most delightful nautical themed paper that I fell in love with before it even hit the shelves. Please join me in making this two page layout that is perfect to show off any beach themed photo's you may have. Since there is so much cutting out for this layout we're going to have the paper ready early so that you can do the cutting in the leisure of your home and when you come to class you will be shown how to put the layout together.
